Everything seemed fine, picture quality sound etc until I hang the flat screen on the Sonus tilt mount and the cable got pressed between the drywall and the TV’s HDMI port.
I heard what seemed to be wire stretching and when I looked in the back the ‘gold’ connector was completely detached from the plastic and the wire pins. Looking closely I could see that the connector was simply attached to the plastic via two small square brackets, one of which was soldered to the wiring. Indeed a $12 construction.

Houston, We have a problem! These cables do NOT work as advertised! I thought that there was something wrong with my Blu-Ray player and returned it thinking that it’s impossible that the cables are the problem. Well, they were. They did not transmit a signal to my TV. Stay away from this crap.

Useless waste of money using these cables to connect a Sony LCD, PS3 and Scientific Atlanta HD cable box to Sony receiver. Too much data must have clogged the cables up
I’m trying the BJC Belden F-2 cables now and shortening the runs as much as possible. If you think your receiver has suddenly quit, don’t send it in for warranty until you can try it with some really good cables (google it there are a lot of complaints about HDMI cables). Learned my lesson…

Description of the product on Amazon says, “Mediabridge – 10ft Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable – 120 Hz – Version 1.3 Category 2 – 1080p – Blu-Ray – PS3″, which would made you think that cable would send 120Hz signals to your TV from the PS3 and thinking that I bought this cable. On connecting PS3 to my TV (which is 1080P 120 Hz LCD) through this cable, I found that HDMI signals were still coming with 60Hz rate. Later, on further investigating I found that PS3 itself doesn’t output more than 60Hz signals. If that was the case, it should have been mentioned here on this product’s page. Since I already had an HDMI cable, there was no use of this cable for me so I returned it. To my surprise, I found that Amazon only returned me half of the amount I paid for this product. It was highly unlikely of Amazon. Even if I had to bare the cost of shipping, I don’t understand why Amazon would charge me $5.34 for shipping. If I had known that Amazon would deduct half of the cable’s cost in the shipping cost, I would have kept the cable with me instead of returning it.
NOT SATISFIED.

The cables as most of the other reviews have stated are a great value. Mine connects my 40″ Samsung HDTV with my cable set.
